These are my D60 settings.  If you are still using the D60, time for an upgrade!

Playback Folder- all

Rotate Tall- off

Optimize Image- Custom, all auto, Color Mode II, Hue 0.

Image Quality- Your choice, JPG Fine or Raw preferred.

Image Size- Large

White Balance- appropriate for your shooting situation.

ISO sensitivty settings- As low as practical. Excellent quality achievable up to 800. Usable up to 1600. Auto control off.

Noise Reduction-off (under 800)

Active D-Lighting- Off, On when shooting in contrasty situations.

Clean Image Sensor- Clean Now

Video Mode- NTSC
